Why e-commerce builds need SEO from the start
E-commerce website development is mostly template work: an online store is a set of templates repeated thousands of times. A small decision in a product or collection template, such as where the description sits, how filters create URLs or whether specs are in HTML or an image, is multiplied across the whole catalog. Getting it right at build time is far cheaper than fixing it afterward.
That’s why we treat e-commerce website development and SEO as one job. Our templates are designed with search and conversion in mind together. Collection pages have room for useful copy and clear internal links. Product pages carry structured data, crawlable specs and answers to the questions buyers actually ask. When the store launches, our e-commerce SEO team can build on that foundation instead of rebuilding it.
Shopify themes your team can run
Most of our store work is on Shopify. We build on Online Store 2.0, so every part of a page is a section or block your team can add, remove and reorder in the theme editor. Design tokens such as brand colors, type and button styles are exposed in theme settings. A seasonal campaign or a new landing page becomes a marketing task, not a development ticket.
For stores that already have a theme they like, we do refreshes: updated templates, better product and collection layouts and a cleaner code base. If you want ongoing search growth on Shopify after the build, see our Shopify SEO service.
Fixing Core Web Vitals on existing stores
Slow stores rarely have one problem. Usually it’s a mix of oversized hero images, web fonts loaded late, layout shifts from banners and reviews widgets, and app scripts loading on every page. We audit all of it, then fix what lives in the theme and work with you on the apps.
App bloat deserves its own mention. Each review, upsell, chat, pop-up or tracking app can add its own JavaScript. Some keep loading after they are uninstalled. We list every script, show what it costs and recommend what to remove, replace or load only where it’s needed. Then we measure LCP, INP and CLS before and after, against Google’s thresholds of 2.5 seconds, 200 milliseconds and 0.1.
Product and collection templates that help people choose
Buyers compare. If your product pages don’t help them, they compare on someone else’s site. We design templates around how your category is shopped: size guides for apparel, spec tables for electronics, ingredient and usage details for beauty, and comparison tables wherever customers choose between close options. These blocks are structured data your team fills in, so they stay consistent across the catalog and stay crawlable as real HTML.
Selling across regions and languages
We work remotely with stores selling into the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and the UK, the Middle East and Africa. Each market changes the build. Stores in the Gulf, Levant, Iraq and North Africa often need cash on delivery and local payment methods. Stores serving several countries need multi-currency pricing and clear shipping and duties information. Bilingual stores need proper language versions, not a translation widget.
We build English and Arabic stores with right-to-left layouts and Arabic typography that works on small screens, and English and French stores for Quebec, Europe and the Maghreb. Each language has its own URLs and hreflang. For stores in Europe, we set up consent that respects GDPR without breaking analytics. For mobile shoppers on slower or costly data connections, lean templates matter even more.
We also build WooCommerce stores for businesses that want full control over hosting and content, and we work with Salla and Zid for stores selling in the Gulf. For large or complex catalogs, a headless storefront on Astro or Next.js can give the most control over design and speed. We recommend a platform based on your catalog, markets and team, not on a default.
Refresh or rebuild?
If your store is mostly sound, a refresh on the current platform may be all you need. If the theme or platform is holding you back, a new build is the better path. Our website revamp service covers both as Refresh and Rebuild. Either way, we begin with a free website review and quote per project.
